Job Description

The Technical Specialist serves as the technical point of contact for CRL, represents the company’s interests, and assists the technical management team as they work on projects. This person provides the subject-matter expertise and is the point of contact for projects from the industry side.

Crucial to the role is leading cross-functional communication leveraging the Technical Managers as a resource. The ideal candidate will become a Subject Matter Expert by understanding assigned product lines and Product Line Ownership, Market Research, Business Case Creation, New Product Development, New Product Launches, and Product Marketing. The Technical Specialist will proactively establish and maintain close working relationships with open innovation partners, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.  Represent Product Development and/or serve as Technical representative of cross-functional program teams. 

The candidate will also demonstrate exemplary teamwork, a positive attitude, problem-solving and organizational skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency. They should also possess some working knowledge of project management skills and experience working with technical product issues.

In addition, the Technical Specialist catalyzes change, coordinating activities according to processes, identifying optimization opportunities, implementing best practices, and enhancing technical management capabilities. The successful candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, navigating evolving priorities with a balanced approach to structured project management and adaptability.

Overall, the Technical Specialist plays a key role in driving efficiency and achieving strategic objectives within the organization by utilizing their knowledge and skills developed in manufacturing or engineering workplaces.

Work Experience Requirements & Qualification

  •  Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in a Technical Management role within the building and construction industry
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI).
  • AutoCAD working knowledge for drafting (desired)

Salary Range: $70,000 - 98,000
