Job Description

The Strategic Sales representative focused on the Southwest Region will act as the primary contact / account owner for assigned Strategic Accounts across both business units - GGS both Glass and Metal. This role will identify opportunities to expand and retain strategic accounts and will also identify opportunities for product cross-sell. In addition, this role will drive customer coverage activities consistently and actively to increase the likelihood of renewals, through in-person meetings, email/phone follow-ups, answer questions, direct to appropriate support staff and offer guidance. This position will engage Estimators for support in quoting customer’s projects once qualified, and requirements are determined. This role will also engage AGS Product Specialists as needed per customer projects when requiring additional expertise and support.

This role will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships with customers, sales team, and internal partners. We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acts as primary contact / account owner for assigned Strategic Accounts across both business units with a focus on total sales revenue and booked margin growth
  • Identifies opportunities to expand and retain strategic accounts and opportunities for product cross-sell
  • Drives customer coverage activities consistently and actively to increase likelihood of renewals: in-person meetings, email/phone follow-ups, answer questions, direct to appropriate support staff, and offer guidance
  • Engages Estimators for support in quoting customer’s project once qualified, and requirements are determined
  • Engages Product Specialists when customer’s projects require additional technical expertise and support
  • Facilitates seamless hand-off from Customer Success to execute product adoption
  • Re-engages customer during expansion and renewal
  • Logs / tracks customer interactions, activities, manage sales pipeline and reporting in CRM
  • Strategically promote, sell a full range of industry-leading products, and company value, in complex selling cycles

Professional Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in sales/marketing or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of sales experience
  • Experience in building materials, construction, architectural aluminum, or glass sales
  • Experience working with large, complex organizations preferred
  • Results oriented, ensuring we deliver on existing commitments while also working to continuously deliver an unparalleled customer experience
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills to all levels of an organization
  • Customer service, problem solving, and analytical skills required

  • Need to reside in the Southwest -- AZ/NM/NV/TX

Other

  • Will be managing multiple high-value strategic accounts
  • 60-75% travel required. Some air travel maybe be required
