Basic Function:

As the scheduler you will be responsible for managing, creating, and evaluating daily production schedules which are effective and achievable while ensuring that company objects are achieved, and deadlines are met.

  • Creating and maintaining shift production schedules.
  • Work with Production planning Manager and Production Shift Supervisors to determine daily and weekly capacity.
  • Prioritize work for production by Interpreting MRP and other data, and balancing workload accordingly.
  • Monitor and alter schedule for unexpected delays and unforeseen conditions.
  • Follow-up and closely monitoring of exceptions and critical/rush orders.
  • Collaborate with operations to minimize unit changeovers and maximize their efficiencies.
  • Provide quick responses to productions issues.
  • Identify and resolve issues before they impact schedules.
  • Optimize production schedules based on key criteria for department.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

  

Here’s What We’re Looking For

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three to five years’ experience in a production or scheduling environment.
  • Must have the ability to communicate and interface effectively with internal work groups.
  • Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented with ability to work under pressure.
  • Team player, positive attitude, excellent initiative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven analytical thinker; shows ability to analyze complex and
  • sometimes conflicting data to reach logical conclusions.
  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to multiple tasks simultaneously.
