As the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for employee safety and associated training, quality and accuracy, employee relations, and daily departmental performance metrics.

 

Here’s What You’ll Get To Do

  • Learn, develop, and perform in a safety-oriented and team driven environment.
  • Ensure all employees follow operation standards and working practices developed by management and verify the conformance to specifications.
  • Assist management with the compiling, storing, and retrieving of production data and other record-keeping duties.
  • Use data to assist in driving optimal departmental results defined by AOP.
  • Kronos timekeeping & payroll
  • Assist with the company's safety program to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment in part by participating in the safety and 5-S programs of the department.
  • Contribute to and support Process Improvement, Quality Assurance, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Supervise a diverse work group.
  • Handle employee relations issues
  • Process and cost improvements
  • Manage employee performance.
  • Communicate the goals of the organization to the workforce through one on one, crew, toolbox, and safety meetings.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

 

Here’s What We’re Looking For

  • Be able to work 12-hour shifts on a 21-turn schedule days or nights.
  • Must have basic Packing & Material Handling process knowledge.
  • Must have equipment operation knowledge (Powered Industrial Equipment)
  • Leadership attributes must be in line with OBE vision.
  • Prior management experience a plus.
  • Manufacturing experience required.
  • Must have developed PC skills w/ MS Word, Excel & PPT
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • The ability to work in a team environment supportive of employees, the organization as well as safety and production efforts is a must.
  • A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through teamwork.
  • Experience with employee training and development.
  • Quality orientation and attention to detail managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations.
