Position: Manager Planning and SIOP

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

We are currently seeking Manager, Planning and SIOP for a critical, highly visible role responsible for leading and driving improvements in our monthly Sales, Inventory, and Operations planning process (SIOP). The Manager will leverage their background and analytic expertise to drive results by developing and executing demand planning and supply optimization strategy for an organization with 2 manufacturing sites and over 40 DCs in hub and spoke model. 

The role involves owning the long-term demand and supply plans, facilitating cross-functional inputs, and driving operational performance improvements. The ideal candidate will have experience in SIOP, proficient in SAP, and sharp focus on tactical and strategic planning.

Basic Functions:

  • Lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process.
  •  Generate companywide forecast and demand plans with 12 - 18 months horizons and hold consensus forecast meetings with product management and other stakeholders.
  •  Track forecast accuracy and take steps to make improvements.
  •  Develop supply and capacity plans in collaboration with manufacturing and supply base.
  •  Ensure by part by location demand forecast and usage data is developed to deploy inventory and drive supply.
  •  Conduct executive SIOP meetings and present demand, supply, inventory, and variances data.
  •  Use lean tools and root cause analysis to drive performance improvements.
  •  Lead special projects to support SIOP implementation and improvements.
  •  Coordinate with distribution network to share and implement the inventory plans developed as a result of SIOP process.
  •  Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, product management, distribution, and operations management to meet on time delivery targets to customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with DC teams and be the SME for all questions related to demand planning, materials availability, and its allocation.
  • Monitor inventory levels at DCs and work closely with purchasing, product management, operations, and logistics team to bring in the inventory from different sources of supplies (Internal or external) to maintain stocking levels.

Periodic reporting & interpretation of KPIs:

  • Service levels & OTIF.
  • Forecast accuracy.
  • Inventory turns and value.
  • Inventory replenishment levels, Min / Max, Kanban.

Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Management, Finance, Data Sciences, or other relevant fields with 8+ years of experience in supply chain SIOP and planning role. In lieu of a degree must have additional 5 + years of experience in Master Scheduling, Planning, and similar SIOP roles.
  • Expert in data analytics by working with complex demand and supply data with large number of SKUs.
  • Strong understanding of master scheduling, demand planning, supply planning, capacity planning, and optimizing inventory across the distribution network.
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating and managing relationships with sales, marketing, engineering, product management, manufacturing, operations, and other functions.
  • Expert in Excel, Power BI, and any other reporting and data analysis tools.
  • Experience in mentoring, team building, and training your team.
  • Experience working in ERP environment.
  • CPIM/CSCP or equivalent is preferred.

Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000
