Job Description

The Multi-craft Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to include installation, repairing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving the production equipment. PLC’s, VFD drives, Machine networks are some of the items they will be working on. The individual will participate in general maintenance duties of the equipment and facility as directed by their supervisor.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are the skills and abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the job.

  • Skilled with Allen Bradley PLC and HMI troubleshooting. Experience with other PLC platforms, SCADA, HMI applications helpful.
  • Must be computer literate including use of Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Must have experience with troubleshooting motion control systems, motion controllers, VFDs, servo drives, and experience working around 480-volt electricity. Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and other mechanical maintenance is required.
  • CMMS knowledge is required. E-maint experience is a big plus.
  • Able to work with a group or alone, able to be organized, multitask, prioritize workload and strong communications skills are required.
  • Can safely perform tasks and adhere to all safety policies and procedures. This includes, LOTO, Arc Flash, wearing of all required PPE. This is a MUST.
  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of the Midway TN facility.
  • Strong analytical skills and strong communications skills. Able to provide feedback to PM coordinator, supervisor or manager about findings and other issues impacting machine performance.
  • Able to use multimeters, laptops computers to troubleshoot and correct problems impacting machine performance.

Requirements

Industrial Maintenance Certificate, military training, or 3 years’ experience in an Industrial Maintenance setting.
