Here’s What You’ll Get To Do

  • Handle all incoming inquiries; technical and design assistant; and order follow-up
  • Work within price and profit guidelines established by Sales Manager and General Manager, on all requests.
  • Process all orders and coordinate with Production and Shipping to direct the production of systems accurately, on time, and complete.  
  • Responsible for all order expenditures and follow through to shipment.  Provide all post-shipment inquiries, problems, etc.
  • Maintains a monthly inventory as established by the General Manager with less than 1% shrinkage
  • Purchase all metal hardware and ancillary material other than glass (unless special glass) for order and maintain  inventory of said materials  
  • Negotiate best value of products purchased (quality, price, lead time, reliability, etc.)  
  • Interact with Sales personnel to grow and develop selected accounts, inform Sales and senior management of market conditions, provide Sales and senior management with sales reports for analysis of accounts  
  • Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
  • Ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees
  • Assist with architectural inquiries, sister plant inquiries, and issues or concerns
  • Provides door related technical assistance to customers and all sales staff

 

Here’s What We’re Looking For

 

  • Industry experience preferred. Glass or metal sales, manufacturing or construction/project management experience.  
  • Ability to read and understand architectural blue prints and specifications
  • Ability to read and perform mathematical calculations with numbers, fractions, decimals, metric, and geometry normally acquired with experience and formal education
  • Good verbal and written skills  
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, ability to work independently and prioritize work
  • Ability to read and use tape measure  
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Computer knowledge of spreadsheets and basic drafting knowledge   

 

 

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily works in an office environment with controlled climate.
  • Ability to perform light hand work at a computer/telephone station in an office environment.
  • Some duties may involve being in a plant environment where noise levels can be moderate to high and be subject to the same general climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.)
