Primary Function

A BRS operator oversees operating and maintaining different machines under his/her charge. Operators are required to make sure that preventative maintenance and repairs are kept up on their equipment. It is the operator’s responsibility to make sure that their equipment is running efficiently, the quality of product meets standards set by management, productions goals set by management are met, and that the equipment is operated safely, and downtime is documented. The operator is expected to set up their machine, change tools, calibrate the machine, read work orders, and make any needed changes to run equipment properly. This would involve trouble shooting general equipment failures and having an overall working knowledge of the equipment and its capabilities. This position requires that objects (primarily glass) be moved from one position to another.

 

What We’re Looking For

· Minimum of High School Diploma or GED

· Excellent communication skills with peers and management

· Ability to operate within a team environment.

· Basic Computer familiarity.

· Read and use a tape measure.

· Read and perform mathematical calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimals normally acquired through high school education or equivalency.
